SportpartnersUSA has organized a 3-day Coaches Clinic entitled “How to Train The Difference ” This clinic has enjoyed unparalleled success overseas.

This clinic will be of great benefit to State Directors, Directors of Coaches, ODP-staff, Professional staff of USSF Youth Academy programs, MLS youth coaches, USSF A and B licensed coaches, and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma coaches. However coaches from many different backgrounds will find this clinic to be well worth their time. Rene is a master clinician who breaks down the game and players for all to understand.

During this clinic it will become clear how and why you need to train “The Difference”. The ability to dominate the 1 vs 1 is at the core of it all. Rene presents this course in a fantastic and dynamic way.

Alex Ferguson, Manager of Manchester United Soccer Club, thinks the world of his assistant, Rene Meulensteen. He has put Rene in charge of all player development programs for Manchester United. The world class players on Manchester United have acknowledged their debt to Rene also. Ruud van Nisterooi (ex Manchester United and current Real Madrid player) shares his thoughts working with Rene: “I trained with Rene to improve my overall technique as well as my passing moves (feints). It wasn’t that all of a sudden I showed magic on the pitch, but I gained insight into the do’s and dont’s in certain situations. I subconsciously choose the correct skills when playing. I learned what move naturally complements me. In my case it is the ability to receive and turn away from my opponent when my back is to the goal. Course outline

1st evening: Rene Meulensteen “Moves and Skills” presentation
Day 2: Acquiring and application
Day 3: Skill requirements & game application

Theoretical: Presentation of topic related content
Practical: Implementing specific training with the ball on the pitch or indoors (weather determined)
Skills: Coaches will actively participate to acquire a number of skills

Objective

The topics are presented in such a way as to allow you to immediately put the content into practice at your home club or organization. Every topic presented will have a direct application on the pitch! You will learn why Rene believes these skills are needed and how he teaches these skills to the players, young and old. Coaches are encouraged to share their vision and knowledge of training methods and philosophies.
